Stand By For Action! Student Lands Thunderbirds Role!

TTW student, Tia-Lana Chinapyel has secured a voice-over role in ITV’s upcoming series of ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’.  Tia-Lana will record her performance in February.

She already has a string of professional credits to her name including the acclaimed Behind the Beautiful Forevers (National Theatre) and several television commercials.  In 2013 she appeared in comedian John Bishop’s TV show, Only Joking.  Tia-Liana’s latest role will put her (voice) on screen alongside Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Love Actually) and Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day).

Thunderbirds Are Go was first aired in April 2015 and is a new adaptation of the well-loved original ‘Thunderbirds’ created in 1965 by the legendary Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.  The new incarnation uses a combination of computer generated imagery (CGI) and miniature models made by the team behind The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Weta Workshop.
