Singing Tutor

Alex most recently completed his Masters degree in Musical Direction at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. His credits while training include Songs For a New World (Dir. Rupert Hands, MD Connor Fogel), Curtains (Dir. Ola Ince, MD John Reddell) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Dir. Alan Pearson, MD Jerome Van Den Berghe and Ellie Verkerk).

Alex’s Musical Direction credits include Blue Stockings (Paul Simpson, Oxford Playhouse), Julie the Musical (Abie Bradbury, UK Tour) and London Road (Luke Kernaghan, Unicorn Theatre). Orchestration credits include Encore! (Josh Cottell, Koningen Elizabethzaal),  Run To The Nuns (Rosa Lukacs, Riverside Studios) and Grad Tidings (Liam Gartland, The Actor’s Church).

Alex is an Actor-Musician graduate from Rose Bruford College. His performance credits include the BAFTA Winning production of As You Like It (Elle While, Shakespeare’s Globe, CBeebies), Julie the Musical (Abie Bradbury, UK Tour) and Our Island (Jeremy Harrison, Primary Shakespeare Company). Alex is a composer and alumnus of BOOK, Music and Lyrics. He is currently working on That Kepler Woman alongside his writing partner Gilead Amit. Other composing credits include Antigone (Rebekah Maggor) and Nell Gwynn (Lucy Betts).

As a singing teacher, Alex has worked in performing arts schools in London and across the UK, including Generation Next, PSSA and South London Youth Theatre. He is excited to be bringing his skills to the talented youth at The Theatre Workshop.
